General activities

We will work with anyone affected by, or with an interest in, mental health issues. Referrals can be made through professional bodies, or anyone can self-refer. If we cannot help with a particular referral, we will 'signpost' the enquirer on to other suitable services or resources. We provide:

• Emotional support, which recognises the individual’s particular mental health condition;
• Support in learning or re-learning skills —such as social skills, everyday life and domestic skills, budgeting, health, safety and security, liaising with other agencies — which can become difficult during or when recovering from mental ill-health;
• Support to access informal learning or community activities, volunteering or employment opportunities.

We can work in liaison with other agencies according to the client's wishes, including Community Mental Health Services, housing agencies, drug and alcohol services, services for people with sensory, mobility or other impairments.
